Our main wind season runs from November to April, with the most consistent conditions typically from December to March. November marks the beginning of the season, while conditions in April can be more variable. May to October is low season, and we cannot guarantee suitable wind conditions for kitesurfing or windsurfing.

We recommend booking in advance, especially during the high season from December to March. This helps us reserve an instructor and equipment for you. Lessons are always subject to suitable wind, water level and weather conditions.

Yes. We teach complete beginners as well as riders who want to improve specific skills. Vietnam Surf Camp is an IKO School Plus, and lessons follow IKO teaching standards.

There is no fixed number of hours. Everyone progresses differently depending on previous experience, fitness, weather conditions and individual learning speed. For this reason, we do not promise that a student will become independent after a specific number of lessons.

Yes, experienced independent riders can rent equipment. We use Naish kites and equipment, and gear can be changed according to the conditions and availability.

During high season, yes. Our rental fleet is limited and demand can be high, so equipment cannot be guaranteed without advance reservation.

Yes. Vietnam Surf Camp offers both windsurfing lessons and equipment rental. We are the only windsurfing rental and teaching centre at My Hoa Lagoon.

Yes. We offer lessons for beginners as well as coaching for riders who want to improve their skills.

Yes. We have windsurf boards and sails for different conditions and rider levels. Contact us with your weight, level and preferred equipment so we can advise you on availability.

No. Rental equipment cannot be taken to other spots.

No. Our rental equipment is not covered by equipment damage insurance. Any damage is assessed individually.

We currently do not offer wingfoil equipment rental. Please contact us regarding current coaching options before planning your trip specifically around wingfoiling.

No. Vietnam Surf Camp specialises in kitesurfing and windsurfing. We do not offer regular paddle surfing lessons at My Hoa Lagoon.

My Hoa Lagoon offers shallow water and direct access from Vietnam Surf Camp. It is particularly suitable for learning and progressing in kitesurfing and windsurfing. Water depth varies with the tide, and there are stones in parts of the lagoon, so we recommend following the instructions of our team.

No. Water level depends on the tide and conditions. We cannot guarantee a specific water level at a particular time far in advance. Our team schedules lessons according to the actual conditions.

No. Wind is a natural condition and cannot be guaranteed. December to March normally offers the most consistent conditions, but lessons and rentals always depend on the actual weather.

Vietnam Surf Camp has approximately 25 accommodation units, including bungalows and dome tents in different locations around the property. Accommodation includes a large bed for two people, air conditioning, fan, private bathroom and shower.

Yes. Vietnam Surf Camp is located directly at My Hoa Lagoon, so you can stay close to the water and the watersports centre.

Accommodation and lessons are booked separately. We intentionally do not offer fixed accommodation + lesson packages because every student progresses at a different pace and weather conditions also determine when lessons can take place.

Yes. You do not need to stay at Vietnam Surf Camp to use our watersports services.

Yes. Storage is available for personal kitesurfing and windsurfing equipment. We strongly recommend reserving storage in advance during high season.

Yes. You can use our storage even if you are staying at another accommodation nearby.

Yes. Vietnam Surf Camp has an on-site restaurant and bar, so you can eat and relax without leaving the camp.

No. In addition to kitesurfing and windsurfing, we have a gym/Power Zone, skatepark, restaurant and social areas. You can also simply stay with us and enjoy the atmosphere without taking lessons.

Yes, pets are welcome at Vietnam Surf Camp. Please let us know when booking that you are travelling with a pet.

Vietnam Surf Camp has a social atmosphere, especially during high season, but it is not a nightclub or party resort. Our quiet hours are from 10:30 PM to 8:00 AM.

Very likely, especially during the main season. Riders, students and travellers spend time together around the beach, restaurant and watersports centre, so Vietnam Surf Camp is an easy place to meet people even if you arrive alone.

No. Our watersports services and restaurant are also available to visitors who are staying elsewhere.
